This is the fourth edition of Gary Geddes' highly successful anthology of Canadian poetry. All of the poets included in the previous editions have been retained, although their selections have been carefully reconsidered. Review Summary: Best, most erudite collection of its kind
Review: This is at least the fourth iteration of this work, edited by the grand master of Canadian Literature, Gary Geddes.
No-one else could have produced such a thorough and informed work dealing with contemp. CDN poetry. One can get lost for days, following various poets as they created a true national poetic literature in the face of the onslaught of toxic American cultural imperialism. An exhaustive and through compilation, tho wonders why he forgot to include Douglas Isaac.
