The Chronicles of Narnia, by C.S. Lewis, is one of the very few sets of books that should be read three times: in childhood, early adulthood, and late in life. In brief, four children travel repeatedly to a world in which they are far more than mere children and everything is far more than it seems. Richly told, populated with fascinating characters, perfectly realized in detail of world and pacing of plot, and profoundly allegorical, the story is infused throughout with the timeless issues of good and evil, faith and hope. This boxed set edition includes all seven volumes.

Review: I enjoyed this Chronicle tremendously. I wish the author had given the prelude between each book as to what lead up to it.

Review: This boxset is amazing in that it allows you to experience the Chronicles of Narnia one book at a time, making it easy to carry with you for travel, as opposed to the other books that are combined collections.

Review: I got these as a gift for my mom who is an English teacher. The delivery was very quick. I have only read one of the books. My husband has nearly read all of them, and has really enjoyed them.

Review: If you just want to read the books and toss them, this is the set to buy. The books are wonderful for all ages 10-100. This is not a boxed set for a collector though. The books and the box are cheaply made and will not stand up to much use.

Review: I think of all the options available at Amazon, this is the most cost-effective. The only thing I recommend doing is to read the books in their original published sequence and not the chronological timeline. The reasons for reading this by chronology is simply thin--despite what the book description may say at the back of this volume. Besides, you lose the mystery of discovering Narnia through the Wardrobe. There is a strong aspect of milieu-discovery within these stories. To read them by chronological order removes the sense of exploration. Besides, the chronological ordering destroys the otherwise continuous narrative of the Pevensie children and--to a degree--destroys the 4th wall.
In short: Buy this book 'cuz it's cheaper :) Go to the copyrights page and read the stories according to their publish date for the authentic and more complete experience.
